Online stores wired from checkout to your books

We build the storefront and everything behind the buy button, from payments and shipping to the stock count.

The storefront is the easy part

Anyone can put products on a page. The store that holds up is the one where payments settle cleanly, shipping comes out right, stock stays true and orders reach your books without anyone retyping them.

That back half is where stores fail, so it’s where we spend most of the build.

Pewter & Plum

Both registers and the website share one inventory record, so a pickup order pulls the unit from every channel at once. Pewter & Plum is a company we invented, so we could build its website and back office in full.

Where stores are won or lost

Everything behind the buy button.

  • Payments

Stripe, Shop Pay, PayPal and the wallets your buyers expect, set up right the first time, with payouts and fees you understand.

  • Shipping

Live rates at checkout, labels and tracking without a second system, and rules for the orders that don’t fit the standard box.

  • Stock and the order trail

Stock counts that stay true, and orders that flow to fulfillment and into accounting tools like QuickBooks on their own.

  • The follow-up

Receipts, shipping notices and abandoned cart emails that sound like your business and go out on their own.

Shopify, or something built for your catalog

Shopify, when it fits

For a standard catalog of physical products, Shopify is hard to beat, and we’ll say so.

  • A hosted checkout your buyers already trust
  • Payments, taxes, shipping and receipts in one system
  • Product updates your team makes without touching code

Something else, when it doesn’t

Some stores outgrow the mold, with configurable products, wholesale pricing or quotes.

  • WooCommerce when the store lives inside a WordPress site
  • A custom build when the buying flow is yours alone
  • Account pricing and approval steps for B2B buyers

Questions

An order screen and receipt printer on a cafe counter

Can you move an existing store?

Yes. Products and customer accounts can move with their order history, and we plan the cutover so the store keeps taking orders through the switch. Scoping tells you exactly what carries over.

Do you handle product content?

We set up the structure and help shape descriptions and photo standards, so every product page answers the questions buyers ask before they add to cart.

Every extra step at checkout is a customer deciding whether to leave

So we count the steps, and anything between the decision to buy and the confirmation screen that doesn’t need to be there comes off.
