AI built into the work your team already does

We put AI to work on drafting replies, answering customer questions, sorting intake and reading documents. It works from your own information, and a person on your team reviews anything that matters.

One repetitive job at a time

We start with one repetitive job, ship a narrow piece and watch it work in your week before anything grows.

Most engagements begin with a readiness review of your data and workflows and a short roadmap of what to build in what order. Every build runs on your own information.

Ellery & Stroud LLP

The intake reader pulls the parties and key dates out of a client’s own words and stages the matter. Ellery & Stroud is a company we invented, so we could build its website and back office in full.

The ground rules

Every build includes

  • Answers grounded in your documents and data
  • A defined hand-off point to a person on your team
  • A record of what the system did and why
  • An off switch you control yourself

What we won’t build

  • AI speaking to customers with no oversight
  • Systems trained on data you can’t legally use
  • Automated decisions that need human judgment
  • Anything we can’t explain to you in one sitting

Questions

An attorney working through papers at his desk, a colleague by the window behind him

Do we have to clean up our data first?

No. You need to be ready for one narrow project, and a single well-kept folder of documents can be enough to start on. The readiness review tells you what is worth fixing first.

Will our content train someone else’s model?

We configure these systems so providers don’t train on your content. Before anything is connected, we show you in writing where it’s stored and under what terms.

Who reviews what the AI produces?

Someone on your team, at a point we define together. A draft and a sent email are different categories, and where that line sits is your decision.

Most AI projects turn out to be workflow work

Many problems that arrive labeled as AI are really workflow or integration work, and the written scope says so. Solving them directly is faster and cheaper, and AI joins later only where it earns a place.
